Coty Ellen Sidwell, 83, of South Zanesville, Ohio, passed away December 31, 2014 at Genesis Hospice.
She was a friendly, honest, and hardworking person who cared deeply for her family and who never meet a stranger.
She was born June 4, 1931 in Edray, West Virginia (Pocahontas County) to the late Edward and Daisy Robertson.
She graduated from Marlinton High School, Marlinton, WV and Meredith Business College, Zanesville, OH.
She served in the Women's Army Corps in Tokyo, Japan during the Korean Conflict.
She retired from Nickles Bakery.
She is survived by her sons, Lewis (Terri) Sidwell and John (Helen) Sidwell of Zanesville, Ohio; and grandchildren, Katie, Karen and Kari Sidwell and Abbigail and Grant Sidwell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis F. Sidwell; and 12 brothers and sisters.
Friends and family may call Friday January 2, 2015 from 10:00 am to noon at the William Thompson and Son Funeral Home in White Cottage, OH.
Service will be helri directly following the calling hours with the Rev. Dennis Allison officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park where Zanesville V.F.W. Post #1058 and the United States Army will conduct military honors.
